Is the President and Staff being Chemically Manipulated?
In a recent NBC television broadcast Inside the OBama White house, Brian Williams gave the public a closer look at a day in the White House. It was interesting to see the daily hustle and the willingness of President OBama to step out among the public for a hamburger. Bowls filled with apples were in almost every room. Yet the cameras found Planter’s nuts and M&M’s as part of the secret stash favored by most including the President.
Planter’s post clearly on their packaging MSG (Monosodium Glutamate), the product identified with causing migraine headaches and nausea, and behavior problems (like aggression, depression, paranoia and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)). MSG is reported to have carcinogenic properties that cause cancer and it reportedly kills brain cells.
Now before the food industry gets in an uproar about how safe MSG is, they need to stay on track. Focus please. We are talking about synthetic MSG, the one you use in your products. You know, FREE Glutamate Acid, not the bound version of nature.
Why put MSG in salted nuts, mixed, cashew or peanut that already taste good. Because they want more (increased revenue and market share). But who wants to be manipulated, chemically controlled and should anyone be feeding our public officials carcinogenic products. If the Secret Service is there to protect and serve our President, have they not investigated the danger. Mind altering drugs and products that kill brain cells should fall on the watch list somewhere.
As for M&M’s they still contain Food coloring banned in most countries (Red 40). Red 40 visible reactions “include temper tantrums, hyperactivity, aggressive behavior, uncontrollable crying and screaming, kicking, nervousness, dizziness, inability to concentrate and sit still.” http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/131963/is_the_red_40_food_dye_additive_having.html. Are M&M’s band in Europe? Of course not the Hersey company would not give that market up. In Europe, they use natural food coloring; you know the safe kind. It is just in the US that they use the inferior product. The production cost is lower and the ROI (Return On Investment) is higher. A great boost to the economy, or is it just their pockets they are lining. When you realize they are already producing a safe product for Europe it really makes you wonder why they still insist on selling junk in the US. It sounds like they care more about money than us.
We quote the CSPI on perceptions from Europe and the FDA.
“A comprehensive 2004 meta-analysis of the medical literature concluded that artificial dyes affect children’s behavior, and two recent studies funded by the British government found that dyes (as well as the preservative sodium benzoate) adversely affect kids’ behavior. Unlike most previous studies, those British studies tested children in the general population, not children whose parents suspected they were sensitive to dyes. As a result, the British government is successfully pressuring food manufacturers to switch to safer colorings…
Americans’ exposure to artificial food dyes has risen sharply. According to the FDA, the amount of food dye certified for use was 12 milligrams per capita per day in 1955. In 2007, 59 mg per capita per day, or nearly five times as much, was certified for use. Dyes are used in countless foods and are sometimes used to simulate the color of fruits or vegetables. Kraft’s Guacamole Dip gets its greenish color not from avocados (there are almost none) but from Yellow 5, Yellow 6, and Blue 1. The blue bits in Aunt Jemima Blueberry Waffles are blue thanks to Red 40 and Blue 2, not real blueberries.” http://www.cspinet.org/new/200806022.html
The intake of these questionable food dyes is almost 5 times the certified amount in 1958, when the FDA first approved these dyes. They have no control over how much is consumed. Candy, Kool-Aid, cereal and meats can contain these dyes, even Krafts Guacamola dip (which contains almost no Avacado). Red 40 and a number of other food colorings are banned in Europe and not in the US because the FDA is pressured by our massive food industry. Lobbyist press for what their clients (the food industry) wants not necessarily what is good. After all lobbist are paid for winning votes not being ethical or concerned for the public welfare. The CSPI (Center for Science in the Public Interest) in 2008 petitioned the FDA to ban a number of synthetic food colors that have performed negatively in the general public.
We can see the behavioral changes more obviously in small children since the doses per weight can be higher. Under stress even adults can down hefty amounts of these chemicals. Not just in M&M’s but other foods as well. Snack on the M&M’s, have some refreshing Jell-o and a piece of cake with colored icing for desert. A couple of hot dogs for lunch and your colored vitimans; you are in RED 40 heaven. Cap that off with a healthy dose of MSG over some peanuts and you are ready for those peace talks or maybe you are considering launching the latest attack nuclear or otherwise. Eat peanuts and eat candy, but don’t accept Red 40 or any artifical food coloring, nor MSG as a requisite for good eating.
It is clear the President has not been made aware of the dangers of such chemicals. At least the M&M’s come in a beautiful White box with a Gold Presidential seal so the chemical manipulation is done in class.
Think manufactuers of the US would never be involved in causing pain. In World War II you might consider who helped provide the German Nazis with oil, fuel, trucks, airplanes and ammunition while they were invading other countries. Without these products Nazi ambitions could have been seriously curtailed, but then money is what is important not the lives of those innocents killed. Their production was not curtailed until the US entered the war making it illegal to sell such goods to the enemy. This suggests without contorls money is the guiding factor for some companies.
